Hello, I've been curious how many of you use the weapon multi-hit option in game? I have considered turning it on but when i did in the past it seemed like overkill, Movies and shows I've watched have had multiple zombies hit with certain weapons (machetes, Katana, Etc). But i want to here everyone else's thoughts on the changeable setting! No multi hit or at best two hits from skill. ^That's the spirit. Knowing how to adjust your position among the zombies makes possible to fight 6~8 zombies at the same time if you are using blades, spears or axes. Blunt weapons is possible too but with less zombies. Idk I like multi hit but I'm pretty casual at zomboid. I see it more like, I smack the zombie with a golf club, and the one it bumps into should be slowed down at least. Multi hit was fine for build 40 and below (kinda), but with the combat variety added to build 41, it is quite simply an outdated mechanic. If it was added as a level 7 weapon skill for long weapons, axes, and spears I could accept this, but this is actually a very difficult skill to use in a combat situation.

Overall, long blunt and axe will be (in my opinion) your general best bet. As u/Fortune_Silver mentioned, Long blades are strong but rare, and spears have a severe lack of durability for a long time. Multi-Hit is a sandbox option: Character > Weapon Multi-hit. Aim outline is a game setting: Options > Cursor > Aim Outline > "Any Weapon". If you play Apocalypse, Multi-Hit is disabled by default.
