Jul 22, 2020 · Stuck in Park, no P light noted. I have reviewed my problem on several threads. Van occasionally won't shift out of Park, when the P light is not lit. I changed the brake switch for $14, and the brake lights and back up lights work. IF you move the van a bit, then the P light comes on and I can shift it then. Just as an additional general tidbit about the shift release lock...I had a '93 Accord back in 1999, which developed the 'stuck in park' problem, but the Accord had about 170,000 miles on it at the time. However, I remember the fix was simple (probably the brake light switch repair).
