It replaced the Ringneck that did have some issue with the firing pins and springs but both those issues were addressed with the Sharptail especially when it come to the trigger which was greatly improved. The Ringneck 16 ga was on a scaled frame although you wouldn't know it by placing one on a scale. They went about 7 1/2 pounds or a little more depending on the stock wood. I really prefer my 16 ga SXS's to be around 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 pounds for bird hunting, so my 16 ga Ringneck doesn't get a lot of work nowadays.Description.
