Did the same with my original lc9 and it worked great. Not happy with the new set up for the lc9s. Spring is to weak, I can rest my finger on top of the slide and move it back and forth.The slide lock lever has better resistance now. If it's the NON-PRO model it should have come with an orange "dummy mag" that needs to be inserted before being able to pull the trigger.
