Most local unions require a minimum of 4 out of 9 to qualify for an interview, although some will interview a candidate who scores a 3 and others require a 5. The Stanine score scale, used in the IBEW Apprenticeship test, ranges from 1 to 9. Approximately two to four weeks after you take the test battery, your local JATC will receive the results. They will subsequently notify you concerning the disposition of your application. A full six (6) months must elapse before you may retake the test.
