Aug 14, 2015 · Same thing happening to my fridge now. I bought my PVD28BYNFS about 6 months ago — the water/ice dispenser just up and stopped working. I unplugged and plugged the fridge back in, now the control panel only displays “nc” — buttons give a small chime when pressed (so they’re responding), but they don’t do anything or change the display message. Run water from the dispenser for 3 minutes (about 1 ½ gallons) to clear the system and prevent sputtering. Reset the filter indicator light (on models with this feature) by pressing and holding the RESET WATER FILTER pad on the dispenser for 3 seconds until the light goes off or turns green.
